Food Policy Council Workshop - Yavapai County

Do you wish to have a VOICE in improving the Verde Valley Food System? Please read the attached flyer and respond before October 15 th to engage with other food system stakeholders - farmers, ranchers, food processors, food distributors, food consumers,and food waste recovery.

This workshop will ask you to share your concerns and ideas, where you are an expert joining with other experts in creating a Verde Valley Food System Plan that addresses priority needs and elevates our local economy.

If you are interested at the end of the workshop, you can sign up to be a voting member of the Verde Valley Food Policy Council that will guide the planning and action steps forward. We’re looking for local leaders to step forth.

Cornucopia appreciates the support of Arizona Public Service, the Food and Agriculture Policy Advisory Committee of the Arizona Department of Agriculture, and the Hunger Advisory Council of the Arizona Department of Economic Security.

By working together, we can assist local food growers, producers, and distributors in finding ways to improve their revenue and prevent hunger, with 24,000 Verde Valley residents at risk of food insecurity or already food-insecure.
