Weights and Measures Services Week Mar. 1st - 7th and Interactive Workshops

Students from elementary schools across the state will visit grocery stores for interactive workshops to learn more about weights and measures standards.  This hands-on program celebrates National Weights and Measures week commemorating President John Adams signing the first Weights and Measures law in 1799.

The Arizona Department of Agriculture (AZDA), Weights and Measures Services Division (WMSD) will also show the students how to read grocery store labels and signs, learn the value of a product in relation to quantity or weight, and gain awareness on how to be a smarter consumer.
