Happy Farm to School Month, Arizona!

The Governor has officially declared October, Farm to School month!

In 2010, Congress designated October as National Farm to School Month – an occasion to celebrate the impactful connections happening all over the country between children and local food and farms. From lessons in the garden, local food taste tests in the cafeteria and nutrition education activities in the classrooms, to interactive farm tours, it's time for Arizona to join the celebration! Join us and thousands of schools, early care and education sites, farms, communities and organizations across the country as we celebrate food education, school gardens and lunch trays filled with healthy, local ingredients.

The Arizona Farm to Network is thrilled to see the Governor's office support Farm to School in Arizona by signing a state proclamation for Farm to School Month 2022. State proclamations issued from the Governor's Office of Constituent Services are an excellent way to issue recognition of noteworthy events and provide valuable education and information to the citizens of Arizona.
