How about a gathering place for Capitol regulars minus the political squabbles? That’s exactly what the Capitol Farmers Market brings once a week to the state Capitol. The market, organized by the Arizona Department of Agriculture, offers all the usual local produce, but Capitol regulars also love the chance to meet other Capitol regulars. “I’ve run into legislators, and staffers that you might not see otherwise,” said Mike Liburdi Gov. Doug Ducey’s general counsel. Consultant Beth Lewallen described the market as a “new version of a town square.” “It’s such a great way to connect with people at the Capitol – to set aside politics and just enjoy conversation and good food,” she said.
